• The New Arrivals list will be available at a later date.

LET’S COLOR! NATIONAL COLORING BOOK DAY – WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2 @ 1:30 PM
Everybody loves coloring! Coloring and coloring books have always been popular with children, but over the years adults have gotten more and more involved. Adult coloring is now a huge trend and many are finding it is not only fun but also a great way to reduce stress and spend time with friends — or meet new ones.

On August 2nd we invite you to spend some time coloring at the Library. Enjoy the creativity of making a picture come to life! This is a “come & go” event between 1:30 & 3:00. We’ll have coloring supplies available … or, feel free to bring your own.

KIDSTUFF ACTIVITIES CONTINUE IN AUGUST
Join us Monday afternoons on July 31, August 7 and August 14th from 2:00 until 3:30. Storytime, crafts, informal games, and more for summer fun and summer learning! All ages are welcome.

Aug. 14th: Back To School Party with refreshments, activities and recognition of Lakeshore kids. Everyone is invited.

GROWING SPROUTS & MICROGREENS FOR HEALTH - A Hands-on Lesson presented by Amy Parke - Wednesday, August 9th at 2:30pm
Spend a cool August afternoon participating in Master Gardener Amy Parke’s Green Thumb presentation: “Growing Sprouts and Microgreens For Health: A Hands-on Lesson,” Wednesday, August 9, 2:30-3:30, at the Lakeshore Library.

If you order a wrap or a salad at a restaurant it often includes a sprinkling of sprouts. Recently, many restaurants have begun using microgreens as a tasty topping. Microgreens are packed with nutrition and they are amazingly good. A well-kept secret is they are super easy to grow at home in just a few days with materials you probably already have.

Come to this hands-on workshop at Lakeshore Library and take home your own small pot of microgreens! Space is limited, so please call 325-379-1174 to reserve your spot at the table.

CRAFT DAY AT THE LIBRARY
Normally scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of the month, there won’t be a Craft Day in August … consider coming to the gardening program instead!
